Emad AbouElgeit, Ph.D.
Emad AbouElgheit, Ph.D. is a passionate marketing and communications exponent with over 20 years of global experience in diversified sectors that include B2B software development, e-commerce, clean energy, healthcare, financial services, management consulting, and non-profit. Before founding Inbwnd, he held plenty of senior executive positions at international organizations across the Middle East. These include the United Nations, Gallup, and ITWorx. AbouElgheit has been leading various digital marketing, branding, creative, and communications strategies and initiatives throughout his career. His engineering-trained mind and passion for digital have enabled the growth of his clients' revenue, and customer engagement.
With an engineering-trained mind, AbouElgheit helps organizations to resolve complex marketing and communications issues. His areas of expertise include digital strategy, marketing analytics and research, new brand development, brand audit and revitalization, multicultural marketing, campaigns internationalization and localization, media and communications strategy development.

After obtaining his Bachelor’s degree from Alexandria University in Egypt in 1998, AbouElgheit started his career as an architectural engineer. He rapidly developed a passion for ICT and software development and decided to shift his career to join the booming industry. Five years after his graduation, AbouElgheit earned his place in team leadership roles that required more business and client-facing skills in addition to technical knowledge. In 2006, AbouElgheit led the development of an online video streaming portal for a US client. In 2007, AbouElgheit joined ITWORX, the largest software development company in the Middle East. As a Brand Manager, AbouElgheit optimized the company's digital advertising budget and started its social media marketing function. Also, he led the entire marketing function for the company's product line dedicated to the government sector in the Middle East, Europe, and the USA.

In 2011, AbouElgheit accepted an offer from the Gallup Organization as the Marketing and Communications Manager based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He executed high-level policy events and led social media and PR functions. Then, he joined Gulf Scientific in Dubai to lead marketing and training departments and their digital transformation initiative to implement ERP and CRM systems. In 2013, as the Senior Manager of Communications and International Affairs at RCREEE, AbouElgheit significantly improved the organization’s recognition KPIs. As the Chief Marketing Expert, he developed the marketing strategy for a $30 million clean energy financing project in Egypt for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Also, he advised various governments, IGOs and NGOs in the Arab region on strategic communications strategies. These include the League of Arab States and the Tunisian Ministry of Women. In 2015, he joined UN Women as the Media and Communications Expert. He led regional campaigns to raise awareness about women's challenges in the Arab region.

In addition to his full-time roles, AbouElgheit has been engaged in various digital strategy, brand development, mobile apps, and creative consulting projects for clients in hospitality, travel, healthcare, and pharmacy sectors.

In parallel with his full-time and consulting roles, AbouElgheit received his MBA in 2010 at the Graduate School of Business at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Cairo, Egypt as the top of his class. As a result of his professional and academic records, he was awarded a Ph.D. scholarship by the International School of Management (ISM) in Paris, France. AbouElgheit completed his degree and defended his dissertation on social commerce and digital consumer behavior in 2016.

AbouElgheit moved to the US and started his academic career in 2016 at the School of Business and Economics at the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh in Plattsburgh, NY as an Assistant Professor of Marketing. He remained connected to the industry through consulting projects and experiential learning for his students. AbouElgheit has been an Associate Professor of Marketing at Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University since 2019. He has a rich record of publications in global peer-reviewed marketing journals and conferences focusing on digital consumer behavior, social commerce, and consumer decision-making process.
